Holiday Pictures :)

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006

First of all, mail server is back up it looks like, so feel free to e-mail me again.

And….. here are the Christmas pictures as promised :)

Our tree at home :)

Tree at my relatives place…

I love homemade waffles from scratch on Christmas morning…. especially when accompanied with strawberry and blueberry sauce made from the berries picked in our garden (in the summer). And of course… amazing Canadian pure maple syrup! Yum!

I love mine with strawberries and Canadian back bacon :D

My dad likes his with blueberries, strawberries.. AND ice cream, lol.

Don’t ask why, but my little bro decided to put all these little LEGO skeletons in the wrapping of my present (a new tripod for my camera!) :D

My little bro plays some of the new music he received for Christmas… among them, the theme from Hockey Night in Canada ^____^

Came up with this big scheme of cards full of hints for my parents that eventually led to their Christmas present (hidden behind a couch)… a new HDTV! :D (Oh baby did the Xbox 360 ever look SWEET on it)

Haha… so my little brother and I bought this “Sonic Santa” from the As Seen on TV store for only $5… it was a steal. It sings and dances and even turns on when you clap… AND it recognizes the edges of a table or surface so it never falls off. Yes, we played it again and again.

Some Christmas decorations on a pole outside..

I know this is SO cliche, but I had to do one of the Christmas lights on my house!

More lights…

A view from the top…

Christmas ornament…

Well, Happy Holidays everyone! I am flying out to New York tomorrow for my vacation… I’ll be back on the 2nd and I probably won’t have access to internet. Miss you guys! <3

Merry Christmas everyone!

CoH Tournament Results

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

First of all, thanks to Big Time Tournaments and ClanWars for running a great tournament. In particular, thanks to Mat, owner of BTT (Sledgehammer70) for organizing the entire shebang :)

With a huge finish we have all the winners in place for BTT’s & Relic’s 1v1 World Tournament. It was a grueling final round for all the top players, as we had over 5 hours of game play on Sunday, But lets get to the winners. Taking 1st place in the tournament with a 2:1 win in the finals Nystrom will take home the top prize. Finishing up in 2nd place in the tournament with a 1:2 loss in the finals was Aniketos. But 1st and 2nd were not the only final rounds as we had Lurvas & SuperFightCJ duking it off for the 3rd place prize, Lurvas was able to snake the win in the 3rd place final round with a 1:1 win and took the match by VP’s.

Make sure to checkout all the final replays of the tournament here, and to head over to Gamereplays.org to listen in on the official shoutcast of the final round by DayGloNinja. BTT wants to thank all the participants who entered into this tournament and we hope to see you in our next massive online tournament.

1st place: Nystrom

2nd place: Aniketos

3rd place: Lurvas

Semi final winner : SuperFightCJ

Company of Heroes Stats Reset in January

Tuesday, December 19th, 2006

Hooray, stats reset… and yes… PRIZES :D
“Please be aware that Relic is resetting user stats and leaderboards in Company of Heroes on Monday, January 8th at 11:00 AM PST.

Patch 1.4 has resolved issues of rank reporting, therefore we would like to give the community a fresh start. Please note that both ranked and basic stats will be cleared on this date. On March 1st, 2007, we will recognize the top three players with prizes. At this time, ranked statistics will be cleared.

We also want to bring to your attention that we there was code added to Patch 1.4 to track drop hacking. Please be aware that this tracks accounts, not profiles, so “smurfing” will not circumvent the tracking. Cheating will not be tolerated in Company of Heroes.

Thank you!

The Relic Team”

Too many cards!

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

… wow, I just spent all last night and early this morning writing Christmas cards. Some, for members of the community who have contributed a lot, such as administrators of major fansites — and others for people at Relic. And yes, I did write some to friends and family. :) All in all, I’ve written about 136 cards so far, with about 52 to go. Almost done! I wish I could write them during work hours, but a) that wouldn’t be very professional… and b) I’ve got so much work to do this week.

Why? Well I go on vacation starting tomorrow! Until about January 1st. Relic is closed from the 22nd till the 1st, so I’m really only taking one week of vacation. I’m sure I’ll still be checking the forums and my e-mails over the holidays anyway… that’s the fun thing about being a community manager, your job never ends! :)
Anyone who knows me would say I’m a pretty festive person. My desk in the office is decorated with Christmas lights, and I have red velvet bows, Santa hats, and of course a bowl of candy canes for any visitors. I love Christmas! Good thing the Relic Christmas party is tomorrow night… I always hear it is a fun time. :) I might even share some pictures with you guys afterwards!

Anyway, look forward to a few more posts today… I have a lot to announce… and one announcement in particular you won’t want to miss ^_^

Welcome!

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

Welcome to Bloggo. Get it? Blog + Buggo = Bloggo. Har har.

Anyway. Of course, me (Buggo) will be updating this every so often whenever something exciting is happening in the community, or whenever I feel like it :) Feel free to comment with any suggestions or concerns at any time…

As usual, you can always reach me at ahenze@relic.com.
