Opposing Fronts Beta Postponed
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you know the Opposing Fronts beta is going to be postponed slightly, by a few days.
The date for the official Fileplanet subscribers to get into the Opposing Fronts beta will be pushed back as well. Don’t worry, anyone who got a community beta key through contests or the tournament will still get into the beta before Fileplanet subs or Relic friends and family. It’s just being moved back a couple days.
I will be sending out the beta keys early next week, probably starting Tuesday with more information on where to download it and when the beta starts exactly. So stay tuned!
There are a few beta keys still floating around, you can get a couple from the amazing guys Bridger and Vitensby’s show Tales of Heroes this coming week. I may be able to get my hands on a couple more… I’ll let you know!

Just some additional info I posted over at GameReplays: “Hey guys, the beta was originally designed to start next TUESDAY for the community people anyway, so it was never going to happen over this weekend. It’s being postponed a couple days… hopefully it doesn’t affect anyone too much!”

Geez… This is like waiting for Christmas to come. lol. I have a question though. Can we have more than one map to use in the beta? Two or three would be good with different types of terrain. I just hope that if there is only one map, we have things to destroy, instead of a map like Lyon where nearly everything is destroyed to start with.

Buggo thanks for the heads up, I’m cools with the delay to be honest and I’m just glad you guys over at Relic are including so many of us in the Beta testing process. So take your time and do it right, we will all still be here and a few days longer won’t kill anyone (despite the protestations and bemoaning I have seen…)

Of course I know that! Don’t talk to me like I’m some dead weight beta tester who does nothing but play! I am taking this beta seriously.
If it was an urban map, it won’t be very suited for tank warfare, meaning people might use them less. If you don’t use them much, it’s harder to spot bugs. Whereas if it were an open field, infantry might be used less. But then if it were a map with a bit of both like Angoville, you’ll see both having a significant role for different play styles.
But then I figure that there will be a sneak peak of the campaign like there was in the demo. So that might count for the extra maps.

I agree that it would be nice to get a sneak peak on the campaign but I dont think that will happen (I think the chance is higher that we get 2 maps
). So close now that it dosnt really matter, but would be cool if we were told how many and what type of map(s) will be in the beta!

To tell the truth, I think the beta would be more of a ‘balance’ correcting beta than a ‘bug’ fixing one. The CoH beta didn’t have too many, but the imbalance was there.

To be honest, I don’t feel that we will get to play the beta today, but rather only receive the keys. I think the beta comes later. Buggo said that she will send the keys on Tuesday. She also said we will have instructions about where to download the beta and “when the beta starts exactly”, in her words. So don’t get too excited guys.

Guys, be patient, it takes a long time to send 1000 individual e-mails and keys. It will take a couple days to do all of them.

Holy freaking Christ! You guys could not just ******* understand that Buggo is so much busy sending over a 1000 mails to everyone of you one by one. And you ******** can’t just wait a couple of days.
