Yeeeeeeah Buggo, you ROCK! I see now that my prayers at the sacred Josh Mosqueira shrine were not in vain! I know times are crazy right now for Relic, and especially for you, the community manager, so I just wanna say “thanks, Buggo.” To those who didn’t get a beta key, I feel for you, brothas! But I’m sure the fileplanet release won’t be too long from now.

Waiting list. Not bad. More than I expected, considering my usual luck. *g*
And people, calm down! This is a beta, not a popularity contest. Everyone who gets a beta key still has to buy the game, when it is completely done. It is not as if those who get a beta key would get a discount and beta testing is actually work, if it is done sincerely. Sure, some just want to play it as soon as possible, but the people Relic is hoping for are those who want to help and who love to hunt down bugs. It is sad how much bad vibrations seem to come from something like this. Keep it up like this and next time there won’t be a last chance beta chance, nor a waiting list. Since I am on the waiting list, I would really dislike you guys for that.
All in all, Relic is doing a great job at community work and support. Some things could be better, some could be worse, sure. That’s how it will always be. I give them an 8 out of 10, including a -1 just not to be called a fanboy and a -1 since they don’t seem to feel magically compelled to send me money (which actually never happened before anyway). ;P

You will need a fileplanet subscription to download the game. Although i am not sure how long it will take till we can actually download the closed beta from FP. And i remember that the first announced date for FP was the 26th of July… I will not be able to play it anyway cause i’m going on vacation. Damn why did they have to postpone it..

I have been a FP subscriber for several years, if FP does not post any news about a beta such as in this case, then it is not coming any time soon. FP has some big betas going on right now, with the release of Beta 2 for Quake Wars and a beta for Tabula Rasa right around the corner it’s hard telling when it could come out, but then this brings up a good question, what happened in the first place?

I think those on the waiting list will get their key when the Beta hits FilePlanet on the 14th. At least that would make sense, because any later date would somehow feel strange. It would be sweet to get it sooner, but one week is just one week.
