It’s been a while! I’m excited to tell everyone that the Opposing Fronts open beta will begin August 30th. Anyone with a Fileplanet account can download and play the beta. Keys will be released twice a week through till the end of the beta.

Sorry its me again Buggo i just wanted to say that i already have all the clients and the mp beta client downloaded but without a key i am lost and exactly now i have the time to play the game more extensively but without this key i am lost so once again i prey to god (and you
) that you can give me one key on either this mail mr.msp@t-online.de or mr._niceguypowell@web.de .
Otherwise i am desperate
as i can not play and participate in the open beta but have all the required files and even already updated the whole beta to the current version!

The key is still needed for the Open Beta I think. It’s just that now anybody can get the key by just signing up while before you had to be a Fileplanet subscriber or win a key in a contest or tournament.

If I downloaded the beta that was available on 8/29, along with all the patches, do I need to re-download the beta that is going to be released on 8/30 with the installer issues fixed?

If I create an account for the beta, will I be able to use that account in the retail version? Or will I have to create a new account and the previous account name would be unavailable?

O PLZ this is very bad news.
I havent played any games today Its currently 20:22 here in the netherlands
and ive been out on 6 o clock and ive been refreshing the fileplanet homepage the whole day and ive been checking forums and stuuf for info about the beta and now i get this. i have to waith until tommorow and then i have to go to school(i dindt hav to got to school today and then when i get back all the keys are probably gone……
plz waith until 12:00pm US time with releasing keys cuz then i can make it on time. and good luck with solving the installer problem

Thats exactly what I was about to ask.
with these installer issues.. are you referring to problems with windows vista.
I got help on the GR.org forums so I could install it after all, but will it be worth it, or do we have to download it again

my god, the number of patches in beta is RIDICULOUS !!!! i’m downloading right now - 5th patch - 740 MB. Just to cheer you up, the second patch is 340MB big. So this is only for patient. I wonder if theres another huge patch.

I’m in the same boat as Calvin. I downloaded the 1.5 gig beta today, and over 1.5 gigs of patches. Am I going to have to re-download for the open beta?

I have installed and patched the game.
Now need the key. I have tried to use the vCOH key but naturally it dowsn’t work.

Me thinks the guys over at relic need to realise we all have a life and have more important things to do that check here and relic news every 10 mins for a fucking key…

Why has fileplanet not pushed out the open beta yet? I see other places giving away keys, but even the client is still subscriber only on Fileplanet. What gives?

nobody really seems to know how the open beta is working. and there is only a limited amount of keys available per site.
