So not today?

I’d think if its TBA it’s safe to say not Today.
September 25th, 2007 at 12:06 pm
I read on another digital distribution site that the date was the 26th…
September 25th, 2007 at 12:08 pm
I had heard from someone that they emailed D2D and they said it’d be available on the 25th. Unfortunately, either they were misled or weren’t telling the truth. Not a huge deal, but aggravating because I wouldn’t have pre-ordered from them had I known.

Oh, good…I was hoping I wouldn’t have to buy the retail version and then buy the Steam version again a few months later. Guess I can hold off until it hits Steam. Gives me a few days to beat Halo3, anyway.

buggo is probably getting bored in job
September 25th, 2007 at 3:10 pm
Hell yeah, I just hope getting OF via steam won’t cost me too much (it shouldn’t with the weak US dollar). Now I just need to figure out how much the bank charges for using the credit card to buy stuff in foreign currencies.
September 25th, 2007 at 3:16 pm
ok i was wondering ,because i have steam and it says its 100 dollers, thats not right
September 25th, 2007 at 3:22 pm
Ive had d2d refund my preorder, they were cool about it. It’s an 8gb download anyway according to their (updated) OF page.
Off to EB like everyone else!

Bloggo can you confirm whether the Steam version of Opposing Fronts will work properly with the DVD version of CoH? Will I need to switch games if I want to play the other two armies?
September 25th, 2007 at 4:28 pm
I mean Buggo

HELP don know why but patch 171_2101 doesnt seem to wanna load up i press da ok in da game an then nothin ?? i have vista but i dont think thats da prob

JackO’Lantern please don’t troll.
Buggo, I second aegix’s question.
In vCOH, after patch 2.1, there seems to be a way to activate OF content by adding the game’s key. So in the way I understand it, I can buy a retail copy of COH OF, skip the installation part and just add the new key to my account and to the campaign screenies to activate the new content online and offline.
Is that correct?
And what about steam???
September 26th, 2007 at 4:28 am
It’s up and running on D2D as of last night. I’m installing my OF from there right now.
September 26th, 2007 at 5:46 am
OMG Buggo…
Relic or THQ did it again!
Crap! Digital distribution only for the US?
What about europeans who need the english version???
I fear im gonna be stuck with the german version of OF with the crappy translation and allies talking german like in the vCOH
With vCOH i first bought the german version only to realize that it was synchronized in german. bahhhh terrible if you play a WWII game and the allies talk german!!!
I just hope there is a way for me to purchase OF in english in switzerland/germany! So far all the retailers only have it in german!
So please open up the digital distribution worldwide or at least for europe.
This way the ones who need the english version can download it, since there wont be a english retail in europe.
Thanks a bunch

HenGrenadier,
What digital distribution is availible to you? OF will be released via Steam, Direct2Drive, DigitalRiver, and Trymedia. Hopefully one of those will sell it to you.

Hi everyone, the English version of Opposing Fronts should be available to international users on Steam/D2D…

As I have a boxed copy of CoH, I am interested to know if I can purchase a Steam copy of OF to get a CD key, then add that key to my existing account and get access to the OF stuff, or will the key be automatically tied to a Steam Relic Online account?
September 26th, 2007 at 11:26 am
Yes you can get OF from wherever… all you need from CoH is your online account (CD key), which you enter into the new “combined CoH/OF” game to “unlock” the CoH portions (campaign, Americans and Wehrmacht, etc).
September 26th, 2007 at 12:02 pm
I just added this in the post. You can now purchase OF online here as well: http://www.trygames.com/game/aff=trygames/vid=0d36d5cf20744c914de0099469317be2

I cannot get it from trygames.com, it says:
“We’re sorry. Our Systems indicate you are outside the territory authorized for distribution by the software publisher of this title.
Unfortunately, we do not have permissions from the publisher to sell this title outside of our approved territory.” (I’m UK)

@corsix
yes you will be able to buy through steam and use COH with OF steam.
Just buy from steam. download in steam. then log into your original COH account, and add a product. Your steam product id should pop up in the add product field. ( if it doesn’t then there are ways to get it from the registry or apparently steam will show it somewhere. )

Hello. I know that OP will show in Steam “soon”, but is there any date about the patch being delivered for vCoH Steam version?
September 29th, 2007 at 9:02 pm
asian(hong kong) release date?
September 30th, 2007 at 12:04 pm
Could you comment on why coh:OF is so slow and badly bugged?
More to the point why you made coh so bad just to fit OF.
You seem to have completely butchered the best rts out there into a piece of crap.
September 30th, 2007 at 7:57 pm

Do not download any games from GameZones Digital Downloads.
I ordered this weeks ago and wanted to download and play opposing fronts imediately.
But instead recieved an email notifying me that at this time it wasnt available.
I tried to cancel using their online service but an error on page 3 prevented me from canceling.
So i wrote twice to cancel my order to customer service.
AM STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE WEEKS LATER.
Then on the 29th of Sept i get an email that the product is now available for download.
So i go ahead and download it as the payment has come out of my bank account.
I download and install it all only to be met with a security registration page.I input the said key into it only to be told its invalid.
I have now written 2 more emails to their customer service and still have had no reply. So in 3 weeks have not got any communications from them.
I am left with a game download i cant play.
I want everyone to know they S..k big time when it comes to customer service.
STAY AWAY from GAMESZONE and their Digital service because noone will help you if it goes all wrong.

Not that I’m totally impressed, but this is more than I expected for when I stumpled upon a link on SU telling that the info is quite decent. Thanks.
