Mailed - once again, many thanks to the folks who turned up, yourself Buggo for all the hardwork, the Mod team for the brilliant Mod and the guys at Relic who made Dawn of War a (virtual) reality.
;)

I suggest more organisation for the “play against buggo” 1v1s, so that it is decided ahead of time the order in which people play, rather than who has a low ping and can hit “join game” first.

Suggestion 2: Encourage people to actually try the mod part of the mod. In the first 2v2 I played, only one player actually went as the Deamonhunters race, everyone else went as standard DC armies. Seems rather odd to play standard armies when the whole point of this mod is the Deamonhunters army.

Buggo, where do we find out which T-Shirts there are to choose from?
Also, I know my prize was just Opposing Fronts, but would you be able to get it signed by some of the Relic crew? Failing that, could you sign it yourself?
Thanks tonnes, it was a great event!

Ditto to what Jianaran said regarding an autograph (spread the repetitive strain injury
). Also thanks again for organising this. Sad to say, if you hadnt, i might never have given the DH another chance - glad i have now
As for the t-shirts, i believe the image embedded in the previous blog entry might give the selection.

Jianaran, the T-Shirts are here : http://208.49.84.50/buggo/prizeshirts.jpg
I assume Small, Medium, Large and possibly X-L might be available.
I think the ‘Challenge Buggo’ idea is great, however some minor tweaks - it should be something like ‘Who can assassinate Buggo’s Necron Lord the fastest’ (With you as Necrons with Assassination Victory Condition) or some sort of method which is possible
I must confess to finding the game very challenging - I had a large force in your base, then suddenly all hell broke loose as Mr.NL and his Warriors decided to make a guest appearance
When they eventually fell, I could resume the building destruction again, however it was too late…
I think the consensus was that it was impossible to defeat the might of the Buggocrons, and unfortunately everyone did about the same damage in total - so Cloud was very lucky to be the one to be picked
I really liked the trivia on Relic and the Mod team, that was useful - I sensed alot of Google useage and Alt-Tabbing going on there :p
As Corsix said, people must use the mod enhancements/additions else there is no point - this meant in this case to use Daemonhunters, remembering that ALOT of hard work went into the mod and the organising of the event, so folks should honour that and use the mod for what it is designed for.
Just my £2.50

I didnt do the same amount of damage, I actually forgot that I had to eliminate her in less than 5 minutes and destroyed about 4 of her power generators first ^_^
Had she gone with Eldar, it might have been easier, considering how weakly armoured their buildings tend to be.

So, is that the only pic we have of the shirts? It’s pretty hard to see the one in the lower right corner…

I beg to differ in terms of the race — the Space Marines’ got the Ordo Xenos, and I truly like that squad. Wouldn’t it be cool to have some sort of mod with Ordo Xenos with the Storm troopers, etc ?

The mod that I think is good at the minute is the…
Commander Wargear mod, putting the single player campaign wargear into the multiplayer. I think there’s a slightly better version attached to the Annihilation mod. Unfortunately the Wargear mod sync errors during multi-player, but no doubt the boffins at Relic could stop that.
I think it would be a good mod to use because we could turn it into assassination, so the strongest hero would win. It wouldn’t really work for Ork’s though as their default commander is the Big Mek, and the upgrades are for the Warboss. But it has potential for all the other 6 races, no doubt the length of games would be different.
Anyway there’s my suggestion.
Other than that I had a fun time, and agree that the “beat buggo” challenge could do with better organisation, although I have no idea how.
I think because there wasnt that many of us in the mod day what you did worked out fairly well, there was just the rush for your game which caused problems for people connecting.

Aww, you said I’d get a prize for being the first to challenge a Relic member.
Oh well, congrats you guys.

Sent.
I’m glad people had fun playing the mod and could play it together. I had tried to some dry run tests days before mod day to get ready, but no one knew what I wanted or they did not care. No matter it appears to have been a success and I’m glad to have a part of it.
Thanks to all who participated, we on the mod team appreciate your time your effort, and your support.

fudge biscuits. I was away visiting the sis so I wasn’t able to participate. Maybe next year.
About those tshirts: I’d buy one if they ever go up for sale. I’m a graphic designer and so I’m rather picky about what shirts I wear, but those shirts are definitely “FTW!”
::please put them up for sale::

Hooray - it arrived today \o/
Thanks Buggo (and relic) for the mod day and the generous prizes.
Now if only I could get the uninstaller working for Oblivion I could make some space on my hard drive.
